The purpose of this LIVER-Screen® Rapid Test by Veda.Lab (France) is to detect increased levels of two liver enzymes - ALT and AST - in your blood. You get the results of the fast liver function test in ten minutes, and only a small blood sample from a finger prick is needed.

When their levels are above 80 IU/L, one or two red lines appear under the T mark (result is positive). A blue line under the C mark shows that the test worked properly. If levels of these enzymes are high, it could mean that hepatitis, fatty liver disease, alcohol, or drug side effects could be damaging the liver cells. The result should be read within 10 minutes after adding the diluent and is reliable up to 15 minutes.

The test should be used if you have symptoms such as dark urine, pale stools, loss of appetite, yellow eyes or skin, belly swelling, weakness, or unusual tiredness. It can be performed at any time of day.

Results are reliable if the instructions are followed. They may be incorrect if the test gets wet before use or if the wrong amount of blood is added. The provided pipette helps ensure the correct blood volume.

The test shows about 89% agreement with standard laboratory methods. Confidence Interval - 95%.

The LIVER-Screen® Self-Test is CE marked, clinically tested and approved.

The test kit comes with a cassette, a sterile lancet, a capillary pipette, a buffer solution, and easy-to-follow instructions.

You can do this test at home to easily keep an eye on your liver health and find problems early so you can take steps to avoid them.

If the result is positive, ALT and/or AST levels are above normal, you should see a doctor and show the test result. More tests may be needed, as high levels can have many causes such as liver disease, heavy exercise, or being overweight. If the result is negative, levels are within the normal range, but you should still see a doctor if symptoms continue.
