The Lyme Disease (Borrelia) quick test kit looks for IgG and IgM antibodies in human blood to see if there is a recent or present infection. It takes 10 minutes to get results, which lets doctors figure out what's wrong and start treatment if they need to.
If you have IgG or IgM antibodies, it shows you've been around the bacteria that cause Lyme disease, but it doesn't guarantee you have the condition right now. IgM antibodies show up shortly after an infection, while IgG antibodies can linger in the body long after the symptoms go away.
The test is 98.1% accurate when compared to the ELISA lab test. It works with blood that has just been drawn from a finger or vein. It can find IgG and IgM antibodies for Borrelia strains that are common in Europe, North America, and Asia.

Ticks spread Lyme disease, which is also known as Lyme Borreliosis. Erythema migrans, a red, growing rash, is the most common early indication. It usually shows up approximately a week following a tick bite. Most of the time, the rash doesn't sting or itch. But between 25 and 50 percent of those who develop the disease don't get a rash.
Other early symptoms include:
If Lyme disease isn't treated, it might cause:
Some people may have joint discomfort, tingling, or shooting pains in their arms and legs for months or even years after the first time. After treatment, about 10–20% of patients still feel sleepy or have memory and physical difficulties for months.
A blood test may not show Lyme disease antibodies for up to two months after the infection. Antibodies can persist in your body long after therapy.
If you catch Lyme disease early, it is usually straightforward to treat. If you think you might have Lyme disease or if you obtain a positive response from this at-home test, you should see your doctor right away.
The Lyme IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette is a test that looks for IgG and IgM antibodies to Borrelia in blood, serum, or plasma samples. The sample combines with particles that are coated with Borrelia in the test cassette. The mixture goes up the membrane and interacts with anti-human IgG in the IgG test line area.
A control line will always show up to prove that the test worked and that the right amount of material was utilized.
