VivaDiag Plus Hemoglobin Meter is a modern, reliable and easy-to-use device for the rapid determination of hemoglobin levels in blood. This compact analyzer is designed for healthcare professionals, mobile screening points and even home use, providing accurate results within just a few seconds.
The device features advanced measurement technology that enables accurate determination of hemoglobin concentration from a small capillary blood sample. This is particularly important for diagnosing and monitoring conditions such as anemia and other blood disorders, where hemoglobin and/or red blood cell levels are reduced and tissues receive less oxygen.
The operating principle is very simple: a blood sample from the patient's finger is applied to the test strip, where a non-invasive sensor evaluates the hemoglobin level. Within a few seconds, the result is displayed on the screen, and the obtained data can be stored in the device or transferred for further analysis.

It is important to monitor and investigate anemia because it can be an early sign of more serious health conditions and may cause symptoms such as fatigue, weakness or shortness of breath. Early diagnosis helps identify the underlying cause, select appropriate treatment and prevent complications.
Anemia is most commonly identified by reduced hemoglobin levels compared with reference values defined by the World Health Organization:
| Group | No anemia (g/L) | Mild (g/L) | Moderate (g/L) | Severe (g/L) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Children 6–59 months | ≥110 | 100–109 | 70–99 | < 70 |
| Children 5–11 years | ≥115 | 110–114 | 80–109 | < 80 |
| Children 12–14 years | ≥120 | 110–119 | 80–109 | < 80 |
| Women ≥15 years | ≥120 | 110–119 | 80–109 | < 80 |
| Pregnant women | ≥110 | 100–109 | 70–99 | < 70 |
| Men ≥15 years | ≥130 | 110–129 | 80–109 | < 80 |
